So honored to be included in this v important report!! Have also been eyeing the red Alex Mill vest so I think it’s a sign from the universe for us both. Thank you for gracing us with the perfect Sunday read 💕
I’m sure it won’t be the only nap trapped report you’re featured in, lbh. The vest is so good, right? Let’s match, please. Thanks for your sweet support as always!!!
Elin… this newsletter was the 💣. And yes to the Rehearsal- episode 3 was maybe the best thing I’ve ever witnessed in my life. The breastfeeding scene made my stomach hurt from laughter/ cringing. I watched the whole thing with a pillow over my face with just my eyes peeping out because I didn’t even know what to do with myself. Also this is a safe space so I will say I have the hots for Nathan even after that whole thing. I am a huge fan of Nathan for You but couldn’t get into season one of the rehearsal. I need to give it another shot, and of course I need to watch the curse next…
Hahahah I’m cackling just thinking about that scene again and omg I did the same thing — could barely watch (was looking back and forth between my husband and the screen like wtf is happening!?!) but also couldn’t not watch. He’s unreal. I’m excited slash scared to see what’s up his sleeve tonight. Your crush!!! Secret safe with me, girl. And pleaseeeee let me know when you’ve watched The Curse. I’m still processing that finale.
PS thanks for reading and supporting my new lil series it means so much!!!
Love the name, love your recs, love it all!!! Truly can't wait for the next one! And how great is that comment thread?! I need everyone in there to write a memoir.
What in the world was I doing NOT subscribed to you?! Obviously fixed that as fast as I could. “Nap trapped” is the, literal, best name for a newsletter ever! I love every single thing you posted; especially the link for the movie post!!
PS- BRAVO for getting outside with 2 little kids! I remember I fully pitted out my shirt taking my 2 kids out for the first time.
Hahaha it’s all good! I’m so glad you liked this and am already saving up links and thangs for the next one :) will try my best not to disappoint! Your work definitely inspires me to give it my all.
PS thank you!!! I still find the experience of going out solo with the two of them daunting but it gets easier, right? Righhhhhht? *insert nervous laughter*
I recently revisited Nora Roberts for some cheese cheese CHEESY cheese - read the Bride quartet and the Inn Boonsboro trio in less than 10 days. Silly, sweet, not surprising but exactly what my brain needed as a reset. Also, two summers ago when pregnant I read every single one of Hilderbrand’s books!! They scratch the same itch for me, but they’re definitely less cheesy than Roberts. The ones before 2010 are odd, otherwise all delicious for summer.
For something meatier - In Memorium by Alice Winn is stunning, and I LOVED Sandwich!! Also, both of Cat Shook’s novels feel like “smarter than a beach read” summer reads to me.
Sometimes we just need a little cheesy in our lives…pregnancy/postpartum/peek “mom brain” season being one of those times for sure. Thank you so much for the recs! I loved Sandwich and will check those others out ASAP. xx
Read The God of the Woods by Liz Moore! Grabbed my like no other book has recently. So many themes that hit home, but it especially tugged at my new-mom heartstrings.
Ahhh I love The Rehearsal, though season 2 isn’t out in the UK yet, so still waiting. 😭 Love everything Nathan Fielder does, think he’d be an interesting dinner party guest!
