Hi! If you’re new here because you read ’s last Girl Crush (it was me and I have zero chill about it!!!), or because you stumbled upon this letter about my last 18-months as a SAHM (still can’t believe the response), welcome to Bang Voyage. It means the world to me that you’re here. I mostly write about motherhood, but sometimes I write about clothes. And today, my favorite thing happens — those two worlds collide.
It all started with a shirt.
Excuse me, the shirt. You know the one. It’s been dubbed one of the best short-sleeved t-shirts of all time by
, , , and countless other influential Stackers™ we turn to for inspiration and shopping guidance. When I finally hit ‘purchase’ on the It Girl of white tees during last year’s Black Friday sale, I quickly understood the hype. It really is that good. And then one evening, approximately seven months and 700 wears later, I discovered that the most talked about tee also comes in my favorite color. GREEN. Had it been there all along, and I’d just been blinded by the white? No matter. I saw it now. After drooling on my screen like a toddler staring into a bakery window, I dropped the link in my “Fun Money” spreadsheet and went to bed.
The next day came, and I was still thinking about it. Obsessing, really. I’d see literal grass outside our kitchen window and think, “Ah, the green Leset tee!” When stepping into my shoebox closet to decide what I was going to wear to a playdate, I’d think, “Ugh, I wish I could build my outfit around that perfect green Leset tee.” After a few more nights of visiting my cart with a finger hovering over the checkout button, I pulled the trigger. Good things come to those who wait, and I had waited long enough. It was mine.

Still on a high from the buy and yet needing more than a post-purchase adrenaline rush after a full day of parenting two kids in 89 degree weather, I made the 4 p.m. emergency call to pivot my daughter’s attention from chucking Magnatiles to staring at a screen. For the next thirty (or so! sue me!) minutes, I chose peace in the form of co-viewing a globally popular British animated series. If you’re one of its 66 million YouTube subscribers, you might know it. Any feisty four-year-old pigs named Peppa ring a bell?
We’ve been following the everyday life of Peppa and her anthropomorphic animal character friends for months, but it was like I was seeing their world for the very first time that afternoon. Perhaps sleep deprivation can cause one to experience a high not unlike being on drugs, but the rolling hills in Peppa’s universe suddenly looked more…vibrant than usual. Not only that, the grass seemed to be the exact same color as my new shirt!!! Was this an accidental Peppa Pig x Leset collaboration that I had stumbled upon or a happy coincidence? It now wasn’t just my two-year-old who wanted to climb into Peppa’s cheerful yellow house on the top of a hill. I suddenly desired to live and breathe in Peppaland’s entire color palette, too.
The use of bold, attention-grabbing colors in Peppa Pig is a deliberate design choice to captivate a young audience, sure, but it goes deeper than that. Against the saturated greens, blues, and yellows of Peppaland, the family’s high-contrast clothing colors are intentional choices that reflect character identity and bring visual clarity for early learners. According to the creators of the hit show, Peppa wears a red dress because she has a “slightly fiery personality.” George Pig, Peppa’s younger sibling, wears a blue shirt in accordance with his calmer, lil bro vibe. Oh, and have you heard Mummy and Daddy Pig, donned in nurturing orange and laid-back teal respectively, had a third baby in May? There’s an entire TikTok rabbit hole for those who are speculating on what color the baby will be wearing when she transitions out of a onesie.
Aside from the main character energy pink of Peppa herself, it’s the colors that make up the elements in Peppa’s landscape — blue sky, green grass, yellow sun, and red-orange roof — that captivate me the most. These colors feel comforting, familiar, and absurdly joyful, just as Peppa’s world intended. And that’s when I decided to find them in my favorite shops on the internet — in shirts, skirts, scrunchies, and mesh flats galore. If the colors radiating from my Frame TV screen could make me feel this way, perhaps wearing them on my body could carry even more weight.
And so! Without further ado, please queue the Peppa Pig theme song (if you dare), and let’s get into my Peppaland-coded discoveries. Ready, steady…

Color: Sky Blue
Mood: Calm, serene, balanced
When to wear it: You’re seconds away from leaving for a family walk when your toddler grabs a fresh pile of dog poop, tosses it into the stroller (thankfully sans baby), and stomps on it, too. True story. Before you absolutely lose your shit (pun not intended) in a glass case of emotion, give yourself an ice bath in the form of a dreamy blue midi skirt. Better already! Top yourself off with one nice, deep breath into this mini shoulder bag, and I’m sure you’ll make it to bedtime.

Color: Peppa Pink
Mood: Bold, playful, main character energy
When to wear it: You’re going to do whatever you want to do today, and the kids will not be in attendance. That’s right, you’ve bribed kindly asked your partner to watch the children so you can go on a solo outing with snacks that you don’t have to share. You might even just drive to the beach only to stay in the car the entire time — solitude is what we’re after here. Still, getting dressed in something stylish is a mood booster, even when you’re the only one seeing it. And that’s why I’d recommend wearing this crochet dress over your favorite bikini and maybe never taking it off.

Color: House Red-Orange
Mood: Unpredictable, fiery, energetic
When to wear it: This hue belongs to the pre-bedtime rush — specifically the kind when you’re prepping two different meals in the kitchen at 6 p.m. (so, you’re late) because your overtired two-year-old has already made it clear she will only be eating cheese for dinner. Again. You call it a charcuterie board and accept what’s not in your control. What is in your control? Looking fire.

Color: Sunshine yellow
Mood: Warm, optimistic, cozy
When to wear it: This hue is best worn on a Saturday morning while your child plays independently (read: runs in circles while screaming) in the backyard for a glorious fifteen minutes. Look at you, slowly sipping that first hit of Nespresso coffee from your ceramic mug while sneaking in a few pages of a new release. It’s still crisp enough outside to wear a cheerful cardigan (because that’s summer in California, baby), but you’ll be glad to have these shades once the sun breaks through the clouds.

Color: Grass Green
Mood: Rich, grounded, curious
When to wear it: Just like the muddy puddles that beg to be jumped in along the grassy hills of Peppaland, there’s a bit of whimsy in the air now — the kind that inspires you to try a cartwheel on the way to a backyard playdate with friends. (Wearing flats will make that easier.) After sticking the landing, and without even losing your hat, you realize that true wealth is the freedom to spend your days with the people you love. You take a selfie with your daughter to capture the feeling. The photo crops just below a necklace you’ve been wearing all summer — and honestly, it’s one you don’t want to forget.
If we’ve learned anything today, it’s this: inspiration can strike at any time— even in those moments of parenting desperation when you’ve surrendered to the couch to let an animated family of pigs whisk you away on their holiday. Perhaps a little screen time isn’t so bad after all. ;)
Btw, I got a little carried away and found many other PeppaCore™ products that aren’t featured here. To view everything in the collection, here’s your one-stop shop.
xx,

This! Post! Omg I loved it so much. We are very much in a Peppa state of mind in this household as well. Also! Did you know that the green Margo comes in a short dress version, too?! I’ve had it in my cart for so long and you’re making me want to order.
I am HOWLING at this post; it came straight out of a mom brain but will certainly land well among the masses because it made me smile! Did my daughter go through a phase of calling me "mummy" because of the Peppa we had watched? Yes. Do I miss that very much now? Actually yes. I am VERY much in my color-era and this was lovely inspiration for that.
